Blood drive today at NGH
During these times of social distancing, blood supplies become even more critical as people abstain from donating.
The Texas Blood Institute had originally scheduled a blood drive to be held at Nocona High School on Wednesday, March 25 March 25, which obviously was cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Working in conjunction with Nocona General Hospital, the blood drive has been moved to Thursday, March 26, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
“They are bringing their bus so it’s a self-contained unit,” explained NGH CEO Lance Meekins as he asked for assistance in publicizing the drive for the badly needed resource.
The bus will be set up at NGH.
Cancer patients can’t wait for treatment.
Trauma victims can’t wait for life-saving products.
Blood donation is safe and essential.
