Council orders three structures to be demolished

After 18 years of waiting, the Nocona City Council reached the end of its patience last Tuesday. Sitting as the City Building Commission, it gave Melvin and Minnie Corley 120 days to demolish a house and garage at 912 Grayson Street.

All totaled the council discussed three properties Tuesday night, ordering all three to be demolished while sending staff to get pictures of what a structure built of garden sheds would look like on the fourth item on the commission’s agenda.
