Dollar General reopening
Yes, Nocona shoppers, Dollar General is re-opening its store which was damaged by an exterior fire in August.
Angela Petkovic, a spokesperson for Dollar General Corporation, confirmed Tuesday that the activity and merchandize residents had seen at the location was aimed towards re-opening.
Dollar General has set plans for a grand opening celebration on Saturday, Dec. 7, “to officially welcome the community to the location,” said Ms. Petkovic.
The store could have a soft opening prior to that date, but because of the uncertainty of installation of shelving and equipment and delivery and stocking of merchandise, “please understand our hesitancy in that we don’t want your readers and out customers to think the store will open on a certain date and time and have a bad first-time experience with Dollar General in our location,” she stressed.
