Nocona hosts youth football league

Jack Crain Stadium will a beehive of football Saturday as Nocona Youth Football hosts their league games.

These are the only home games of the season for Nocona’s three youth league teams.

Midget Division teams, first and second graders, will open the day with Chico facing Boyd at 9 a.m. followed by Nocona vs. Paradise.

Then it will be the PeeWees (third and fourth graders) with Bowie facing Alvord at 11 a.m. followed by Paradise vs. Chico at 12:30 and then Nocona vs. Boyd at 2 p.m. as the two teams battle out for the top seed in their division.

Finally, the juniors (fifth and sixth graders) take the field starting at 3:30 with Chico vs. Boyd followed by Paradise vs. Alvord at 5 p.m. and concluding with host Nocona facing cross-county rival Bowie at 6:30 p.m.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children 5 and older and senior citizens.

With the Midgets and Juniors having a bye last week, the PeeWees defeated Bowie 40-0.
