CHICO – At the end it was too many unforced errors that eliminated the 32-10 Nocona Lady Indians from the state play-offs Tuesday night as they fell in five sets to Peaster 17-25, 25-20, 25-23, 20-25, 9-15.

For the tribe’s four seniors, outside hitter Ella Nunneley (21 kills, 2 blocks), setter Trystin Fenoglio (47 assists, 3 kills), libero Ellen Yates and defensive specialist Kycelynn Contreras it was a bitter end to a strong season as Nocona was just beginning to find its rhythm with a revamped line-up that saw Yates move from a part-time role as a defensive specialist to libero when junior Laramie Hayes went out mid-way through the district season with a knee injury.
