BOWIE — Nancy Lou (Rains) Wilde, 78 of Bowie, passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 in Bowie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, in the Chapel of the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie, with Rev. Howard Walker officiating.

Burial will follow at Buffalo Springs Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17, at the White Family Funeral Home in Bowie.

Nancy was born June 10, 1941, in Gunter to Cecil and Mary (Welch) Rains. She attended Wichita Falls High School and graduated from Cisco Junior College as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.

On Jan. 24, 1958, Nancy married Eddie Ray Cozart. The couple were married for 33 years, before his passing in September 1991. Nancy then married Dan Wilde on April 16, 1992, in Muenster.

She enjoyed painting and making dolls. Nancy will be remembered for the love and devotion she gave to her family, and to all those around her she was known as Nan Nan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Eddie Ray Cozart, and sister Sandra Rains.

Nancy is survived by her husband Dan Wilde of Bowie; children Brad Cozart and wife Neva of Nocona; Deanna Boswell of Houston, Gerri Paine and husband David of Nocona; Scott Wilde and Lisa Wilson of Lake Dallas; Melanie Mitchell of Denton and Josh Wilde of Denton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Barbara Browning of Santa Fe, N.M., Glenda Thomas of Electra, and Wanda Wilson of Conroe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Arrangements entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home of Bowie.

Should friends desire, memorials can be made in honor of Nancy to any veteran’s organization of their choosing.

    Nancy was always very kind to my sisters and I when we were children.Our mother loved her and her and her sisters
    and looked forward to their visits. It was one of the high lights of her life and always put a smile on her face.
