Grand Jury charges local pair for hindering prosecution

MONTAGUE – The Montague County Grand Jury indicted two Nocona residents Monday, one of whom is already in federal custody on drug charges, for hindering the apprehension of Jessica Ann Bishop, then 33, on charges of engaging in organized criminal activity-forgery.
All totaled the grand jury returned 37 indictments against 24 defendants Monday.
A second individual currently being held by federal authorities was indicated for aggravated assault of a public official, and other charges, after allegedly shooting at two deputies on Aug. 15.
