Polhemus opens 2020 election efforts

With Labor Day in the rearview mirror, the 2020 political season kicked into gear Wednesday as 97th District Attorney Casey Polhemus held a press conference announcing she had filed for re-election.

She joins what is currently a short list of candidates for local office that will expand between now and the Dec. 9 filing deadline for places on the March 6 Primary Ballot.

“I’ve kept my promises about the changes I would make in the district attorney’s office in 2017,” Mrs. Polhemus stated before a small gathering of friends, family, employees, and law enforcement officials with whom her office does business.
