Darden debates stipend for County Attorney’s secretary

lone employee in the County Attorney’s Office an “administrative assistant” and paying that person $3,300 a year more than what the chief deputy clerks in five other county offices make.

And when County Attorney Clay Riddle suggested the court could do as Darden suggested, and his office could stop doing a variety of legal tasks “that goes into the general fund” the commissioner accused the county attorney of attempting to extort the salary bonus from the commissioners.
