Highway 82 hearing
HENRIETTA — Nocona will host the second of two identical public hearings to unveil the US 82 Preliminary Environmental Assessment Document on June 25.
The draft environmental assessment will be available for public review and TxDOT will be conducting the public hearings on the proposed project. These hearings are expected to be the last public meetings for this project.
The Texas Department of Transportation is proposing to widen US 82 from a two (2) lane to four (4) lane divided highway from Henrietta to Nocona, a distance of approximately 27.4 miles. The purpose of the project is to improve connectivity and increase mobility along US 82 between the towns of Henrietta and Nocona, including Ringgold.
The displays will be available for viewing at 5 p.m., with the formal hearing starting at 6 p.m. The same information will be shared at the Henrietta meeting the night before on June 24th at the Holman Center in Henrietta. The purpose of these hearings is to present the planned improvements and to receive public comments on the proposed project.
