It’s Rodeo time in Nocona

The rodeo stock is ready.

The queen and princess candidates are busy honing their riding skills while selling tickets as the 67th Annual Chishilm Trail Rodeo gets underway Friday and Saturday nights at the Chisholm Trail Rodeo Arean on S.H. 175 on the south side of Nocona.

Muttin Bustin will be held each night at 7. Sign up when you get there starting at 6; $20 entry fee.

The Grand Entry will kick off each night at 7:30 and the rodeo at 8 p.m.

You will not want to miss the Ladies Ranch Bronc Riders on Friday night!!!

The parade will be held on Saturday at 4 p.m. starting at the Nocona High School. Line up begins at 3. There is still time to get your entries in so contact the rodeo committee today! 940-841-2044 or 940-867-0165

Saturday night after the rodeo hometown artist Tanner Fenoglio will be performing at the rodeo grounds. Your ticket to the rodeo gets you in to the rodeo & dance on Saturday night.

There will be a drawing each night of the rodeo thanks to Fenoglio Boot Company for donating a $100 Gift certificate for Friday night & a pair of Fenoglio Boots for Saturday night.

Pony rides, mechanical bull riding, and snow cone vendors on site!! Also, the Montague County Cowboy Church and the Nocona Booster Club will be providing concessions each night so come hungry!

There will be fish, calf fries, fries, burgers, walking tacos, and more!!!
There will be Junior Barrels as in the years past for ages 16 and under along with NEW THIS YEAR Double Muggin!

If you need rodeo tickets, rodeo queen and princess contestants that are selling tickets as part of their competition. Tickets are $8 in advance or $10 at the gate.

“We are looking forward to a bigger and better rodeo than last year!!! You don’t want to miss it so mark your calendars to join us,” said Rodeo Committee Member Sherry Brown of Nocona.
