Avia Brooks

Avia Brooks, 76, died on Monday, May 13, 2019 in Nocona.

Avia was born on Sept. 10, 1942, in Freeport to O.M. & Addie Lorene Parr Molsbee.  Avia worked as a baker for 15 years.

She married Don Earl Brooks on Feb. 14, 1965, in Waurika, Okla. He preceded her in death on May 5, 2003.

Avia was a member of the Molsbee Chapel Church of the Brethren.

She is survived by her children, Byron Brooks & wife Donna of Lebanon, Ore., and Melissa Wadlow & husband Tim of Nocona; brothers, Keith Molsbee of Vashti and O.M. Molsbee of Nocona; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

There was a visitation on Thursday, May 16, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel in Nocona.  A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17, 2019 at 2 P.M. at Molsbee Chapel Church of the Brethren in Montague County Texas with Joe Crow officiating.

Interment followed in Molsbee Chapel Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
