Clean up Nocona, now, group requests

It was standing room only Tuesday as citizens urged the city council to take steps to clean up the community.
Informed that “whatever you are doing, it isn’t working” as far as helping to keep Nocona clean, neat and inviting, the Nocona City Council and a group of more than 20 concerned citizens spent over an hour reviewing what the city has do in terms of code enforcement, and exploring possibilities of what it can do in the future.
While many of the suggestions would need to be research with attorneys for the Texas Municipal League, one thing the city council did say it could do is open the solid waste collection station off Airport Port for half a day four days a week instead of just Saturday mornings.
