A Hand Up will be open Thursday for its every-other-week distribution of food.
“We’re getting more and more (requests) each day,” said Barbara Leonard, who heads up the charity which provides food, clothes and others to the area’s disadvantaged.
“From what they said today, we’re going to get more,” she forecast.
The distribution would be handled just as it had been on March 19, Mrs. Leonard said. No one will be allowed in the building other than a maximum of 10 volunteers. Distribution will be outside.
“We’ve always put something a little extra in there for the children, we’re adding more,” she added noting that children are now isolated at home during regular school hours.
