Shirley Hill

Shirley Hill, 84, died on Monday, Feb. 24, 2020, in Nocona.
She was born on November 25, 1935 in Trenton to Sam and Della Reagan Burr. Shirley was a business woman, operating the Dairy Queen in Nocona as well a numerous other business.
Shirley’s pride and joy was her family. One of her favorite past times was attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She was their biggest fan in all of their activities. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly and of course her husband Ben E. Hill whom she married on Feb. 27, 1960 in Grand Prairie.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Nocona and prominent figure in the community.
She is survived by her husband, Ben E. Hill of Nocona; children, Deborah Mahoney and husband Marty of Round Rock, Tracy Childers and husband Mark of Rowlett and Guy Hill and wife Karla of Nocona; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, a son, Danny Hill, a sister, Bennie Stogsdill and a brother, Kenneth Burr.
There will be a funeral service held on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Nocona with Rev. Dave Woodbury officiating.
Interment will follow in Nocona Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren, Ryan, Chase and Carson Childers, Kennedy Hill Brakebill, Hayden Hill, Kameron Hill, Ben E. Hill II and Collin Mahoney.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church General Fund No Restrictions 511 Cooke St, Nocona, TX 76255.
