Indians win keeping season alive

Carter Horns gets shot off as shooting.

Nocona’s three seniors were not ready to end their high school basketball careers last Tuesday night.

Nocona was staring up at Holliday and Henrietta, who were tied for third place in the six team district where only four teams make the playoffs.

Nocona had to win,or rack the basketballs for another either. Win, and they would, at worse, face a play-in rematch with Henrietta. And at best, a three-way tie for third place if the Eagles should lose to district runner-up City View.

That was not to be as City View rested Jalyn Marks for the playoffs, and Holliday won that game to lock down third place in district.

For more on this win see this week’s edition of The Nocona News.
