Lady Indians pummel Mustangs

CITY VIEW – With their defense limiting the outgunned City View Lady Mustangs to single digits all four quarters, the Nocona Lady Indians opened District 8-3A action with a solid 78-37 win Friday night.

The Indians sat junior guard Sydni Messer, who was under concussion protocol.

Nocona erupted for 27 first period points as Nocona’s outside shooting ability forced the Mustangs to not triple team junior guard Averee Kleinhans as she alternated between drives to the lane and hoisting long-distance shots.

Kleinhans drew five fouls in the opening period scoring 17 of her game high 19 points but picking up two fouls of her own.
