Late free throws seal win for Lady Indians

Chloe Daughtry snares another offensive rebound from taller Aledo defenders.

By Tracy R. Mesler

Averee Kleinhans brought the Lady Indians back from a 15-point deficit Friday night while senior Trystin Fenoglio calmly sealed the 61-56 over the Aledo Lady Bearcats win by hitting both ends of three one-and-one situations in the closing minutes of the game.

Aledo’s height gave the Indians fits what with four players taller than anyone on the Nocona roster, the Bearcats thrashed the Indians on the backboards 47-21, and but for the gutty effort of junior guard Chloe Daughtry wo slithered her way amongst ‘the trees; for 9 of Nocona’s 21 rebounds, 5 on the offensive glass, the disadvantage would have been beyond monstrous.
