With only one day to practice after volleyball season ended on Friday, the Prairie Valley Lady Bulldogs used a tight defense to win a low-scoring season opener last Tuesday 19-13 over the Chico Lady Dragons.
“I was proud to get the win, even if it was an extremely low scoring game,” commented coach Jeannie Carpenter.
“I thought our defense was strong, but offensively we just couldn’t score. We need to be in the gym shooting. Our practices this week are centered around shooting,” she said.
