Hornets sting Lady Indians

ERA – The Lady Indians saw a 10-point lead going into the fourth quarter evaporate when Era’s Brianna Knabe poured in 17 of her 23 points in the fourth period to lead the Lady Hornets to a 50-45 upset of Nocona.
Both teams entered the contest state ranked, , by the Texas Girls Coaches Association, Nocona #20 in Class 3A and Era #7 in Class 2A.
Nocona senior Trystin Fenoglio did a number on Knabe during the first three quarters holding her to just 4 first quarter points, but when the tribe rested their senior point guard to start the fourth period, Knabe and the Hornets caught fire, and despite Fenoglio’s swift return to the floor, Nocona could never find its offensive rhythm being outscored 23-6 in the fourth period to absorb their first loss of the young season.
